The aim of work was synthesis, studies and estimation of applicability in organic optoelectronic devices of new derivatives of carbazole with the different types numbers and positions of substituents. In the literature review the carbazolyl-containing compounds used in organic light emitting diodes are discussed. In this work new isomeric diphenylethenyl-disubstituted dimethoxy carbazole compounds, N-annelated perylene and carbazole derivatives, isoindigo and carbazole derivatives, six-membered chiral carbazole-based helicenes were synthesized and characterized. The influence of the amount of methoxy groups and their positions in carbazole derivatives on their crystal structures and on the properties was studied. The selected compounds were tested in the structures of the organic optoelectronic devices. Effective organic light emitting diodes with the brightness exceeding 62000 cd/m2 and external quantum efficiency reaching 4.2%, were fabricated. The possibilities of the commercialization of the compounds are discussed.
